Survival Rates for Metastatic prostate Cancer:

Ok, so you caught your prostate cancer late, it’s already spread, and you are sad, scared, and wondering what to do.  Getting the statistics on survival rates or life expectancy for your metastatic prostate cancer isn’t the way to go.  Everyone’s case is different.  Attitude, diet, and a whole host of other factors go into this.

Remember when the Dr. first told you about your cancer?  How did you feel for those first 48 hours?

Nothing physically changed during that time, but this mind/body connection made you produce a bunch of chemicals that made you feel much worse.  Imagine if he told you later that he read the wrong chart and you don’t really have prostate cancer at all.  Your body would produce a bunch of healthy chemicals and you’d feel amazing.  Again, nothing would be physically different during this situation.  So much of your experience with prostate cancer, or any cancer or illness, is how you deal with it emotionally.  You can’t put those numbers into a prostate cancer calculator and come up with something.  Rating your emotional health from 1 to 10 is absurd.

How can you get your body to naturally produce those healing chemicals that give you hope instead of fear?  Doctors often get caught up in the average life expectancies.  You don’t want to be average here.  The average isn’t a pretty picture.  But the good news is you don’t have to be average.

The average person in this situation shuts down and counts down the rest of their days.  Maybe they go on a diet or two, but in all seriousness, they don’t believe they can be cured and they aren’t.  They then contribute to another statistic that makes the whole thing look more grim for people like you.

How can you be different?  Telling someone to think positive thoughts during this time is much easier said than done.  Most people don’t have conscious control over that.  It’s kind of like someone telling you to consciously stop your heart from beating for the next 15 seconds.  You understand the concept, but your body will keep that heart going anyway because you don’t know how to tell it to stop.

There is a big difference however.  With proper mental training, and other healthy living techniques, it is possible to reverse your metastatic prostate cancer.

Some people do this, doctors often get quoted as saying something like, “I’ve never seen a case like that.  It was a real medical miracle”.

What they really mean is that they don’t understand exactly what happened.  They can’t explain it so they file it into the “miracle” category and move on.

Obviously you want to be in this miracle category and it’s essential you do everything you can and research everything so that you can be a miracle and cure your prostate cancer that has already metastasized.  Don’t allow yourself to be average here.  You deserve another shot at life.
